Young Writer Commission

We are looking for a young writer (25 and under) to produce a 200 word text responding to the question:

'What will Europe be like in 200 years?'

The text will form part of the Never-Land-Sheffield arts project at Yorkshire Artspace Persistence Works Gallery led by arts group 'The Poly-Technic.'

Poly-Technic Artists Kate Genever and Steve Pool are asking:

'How can we imagine a new 200 years from now Europe that challenges exisiting negative stereotypes? It’s hard to create any ideas or images that are not doom laden - flooded cities, overpopulated areas, upheveal seem easy to believe. Part of our new commission for Yorkshire Artspace is to think again, not by burying our heads in the sand, but having faith that we’ll all do the right thing and leave the planet better than when we found it.

Apply by writing two sentences for us via Twitter, Instagram or Facebook outlining your thoughts on the question 'What will Europe be like in 200 years?'

Deadline: June 10th

Notification of selected writer: before 20th June.

Payment if selected for the commission: £100.

Applications open to anyone aged 25 or under.
