Precious Little Gems Commissions on display at Millennium Galleries

Two new silver commissions have recently been completed by our Starter Studio holders Victoria Radcliffe and Caroline McNeill Moss and Elizabeth Handforth. The pieces, a silver and limestone 'Petits Fours' stand from Victoria and table centrepiece from Caroline and Elizabeth are on display in Museum Sheffield's Millennium Galleries foyer now and until October.

There will be an opportunity to meet the artists and hear more about their work at a lunchtime talk on 22nd May 13:00 to 13:45 (Check Museums Sheffield website for details). The annual commission for silversmiths 'Precious Little Gems' has been running since 2003 in partnership with Sheffield Assay Office and Museums Sheffield and has been a fantastic launchpad for some of the 30 makers whose work now forms part of this collection.

We think these pieces are amazing, and urge you to go along and have a look. It's fantastic to see such brilliant examples of contemporary silverware being made emerging makers here in Sheffield and we are proud supporters of this programme.
